I did not know what to make this week. I wanted something easy, fast and new. I just did not know what to do. I was uninspired. AND THEN #sundaysupper happened and the theme was 5 ingredients or less and I thought that round up would have something I could make.
I had a dinner party!! It was great; wonderful people and scrumptious food. We also played a mean game of aggravation. My team was so close to winning. So close!!!! But alas, we lost. I call for a rematch!!
I went to my parent’s house for a few days for the holiday. My mom and I made this yummy lasagna inspired dish! My dad loves it, so we will have it again. It is also really easy to freeze if you want to make it ahead of time. Just stop after step 5 and cover with aluminum foil and put in the freezer. When your ready to cook it: put it in the refrigerator for a while to defrost. And pesto! Dinner!
This is super yummy. It definitely has a kick, but is not very spicy. I really like shrimp and have not had it for what feels like a really long time now. This hit the spot!
This was super delicious. I love macaroni and cheese! And if you add peas and cauliflower that makes it healthy, right? I can dream.
A family friend gave my mom this recipe. My mom tried it this weekend when I was visiting. It was really good!
I know, buttered noodles, you already know how to cook this and it is not that interesting. But believe me adding roasted cauliflower makes a huge difference. Plain buttered noodles are my favorite comfort food, but adding roasted cauliflower makes this a dish I would serve to friends and family when they visit.
This was not my idea. A friend of mine was coming over and she had some squash and wanted to make something out of it. I am trying to broaden my horizons. So we looked at recipes and found something that sounded good.
Update: In the original recipe it says that this does not warm up well. I tried it today as leftovers and thought it was just fine.
I have always had a soft spot for Macaroni and Cheese. I use to eat it all the time as a kid. I have tried many different varieties, but made very few. This was an attempt to change that.
This was interesting to make. It was my first time boiling eggs, to eat. So, that had a little trial and error. The end result was ok. It needed a lot of parmesan cheese and black pepper for my taste. But all in all a nice dish.
