Iced Strawberry Soda

This was yummy.  I am not a huge strawberry person, but I had a bunch so I needed to use it.  This was a good way to use the rest of them.  The bread is the banana bread I made last week.

Iced Strawberry Soda

This recipe is adapted from Big Girls Small Kitchen.

  • 1 pound fresh strawberries, washed, trimmed and quartered
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1/4 cup water
  • 4 cups lemon-lime soda

1. Combine the strawberries, sugar, and water in a small, heavy saucepan over medium heat.  Bring to a boil, then strain the juice and toss the left over strawberries.

2. Place in a covered container and completely in the fridge until chilled.

3. Put ice in a glass and add about 1/2 strawberries and 1/2 lemon lime soda.  And enjoy!
