We made crepes!!  I love crepes.  I kind of have a weird connection with crepes.  My strongest memories of crepes are from India.  When I was studying abroad in India most breakfast places had crepes; normally banana and/or nutella.  They were so awesome and helped a lot with my homesickness.

I am still not a master crepe maker, but I am working on it :).

These are some of my family’s favorite toppings for crepes.  What are yours?


This recipe is slightly adapted from


  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 eggs
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 2 tablespoons butter


1. In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the flour and the eggs.  Add the milk and water, stir.  Add the salt and butter.  Beat until smooth.

2. Heat a lightly oiled griddle or frying pan over medium heat.  Pour about 1/4 cup of batter onto the griddle.  Tilt the pan with a circular motion so that the batter coast the surface evenly.

3. Cook the crepe for about 2 minutes, until the bottom is lightly brown.  Loosen with a spatula, turn and cook the other side.  Serve hot.
