I love brunch drinks! They are so yummy. And it is weird to have a mimosa later in the day.
These were interesting. They look beautiful. However, I don’t think the flavors are all that amazing. I need to experiment some more.
I just received a letter from my great aunt Vivian. She gave me four new recipes!! It made my day! I went out and bought bananas that day.
My great aunt Vivian is my favorite great aunt! She taught me to tie quilts and she has a cross stitch that says you can eat the crumbs off her floor. She is also very, very old and had cancer before. And every time I say good bye to her and see ya later. She replies, “If I am still alive then.” Which is super morbid, but some how it is always really funny when she says it.
Sangria is a fabulous, wonderful drink. I love it. This is one of my favorite recipes. It is a little sweeter and packs a little more punch. Everyone love it.
This is an ongoing series of food related to The Hunger Games, here are the links to the other recipes- Peeta’s raisin nut bread, the bakery bread Katniss and Gale ate in the woods, the Capitol pancakes, District 11 bread (crescent rolls with seeds), Mellark’s Apple and Goat Cheese Tarts, Goose Liver and Puffy Bread, Lamb Stew and Dried Plums, Cake on Fire, Hot Chocolate,
Cinna invites me to sit on one of the couches and takes his place across from me. He presses a button on the side of the table. The top splits from below rises a second tabletop that holds our lunch. Chicken and chunks of oranges cooked in a creamy sauce laid on a bed of pearly white grain, tiny green peas and onions, rolls shaped like flowers, and for dessert, a pudding the color of honey.

We made this with the Capitol breakfast, because it is delicious and decedent, just like the Capitol would make it.
Produce Sale is an ongoing series. What happens is I go to the grocery store or the farmer’s market and find vegetables or fruit that are on sale or super cheap and regardless of whether I have ever cooked with it before, I buy it and find a recipe for it.
This time I went grocery shopping the peppers were on sale. I have never cooked with habanero peppers, so I grabbed 5. So, this is not the first recipe I will be using them in, because this one only calls for one pepper. Opps, I liked this though so hopefully everything else I use them for will turn out just as awesome.
This was super yummy. I really like marinades. I make them the day before and then just have to bake, grill or whatever and- presto- a delicious meal. Plus, when you leave the marinade on over night it soaks into the chicken really well, so your meal is really flavorful.
