I had leftover figs from when I made cheese stuffed figs.  I did not know what to do with them, until I found this recipe that originally had dried cranberries in it.  But I think figs are much tasty than cranberries, so I changed it.

Gorgonzola and Porcini Mushroom Risotto

This was fantastic!!  My friend Leslie, who I cook with all the time, has been wanting to make risotto.  It takes a bit of time so we wanted to make sure we had a lot of time to make it.  I plan to make this again soon!  Or another type of risotto, I mean it was amazing!!

Refried Black Beans

Fried Rice

I went over to my friend Annie’s house the other day and she taught me to make fried rice (Annie from the origami fun a while back, she blogs at handspun rainbows).  It was way easier than I expected.  I don’t know exactly what I expected, but it was really easy to make.
