We have already established my love for Harry Potter. I have made Butterbeer and Cauldron Cakes. Deliciousness brought to us by The Pastry Affair. Well, now I found cocktails inspired by Harry Potter. The Backyard Bartender made a bunch of cocktails inspired by different characters in the books and I just had to try one. There will be more in the future, but for now we tried the Neville Longbottom, because who doesn’t love Neville?

Cauldron cakes
These were quite the endeavor. There are a lot of steps, but nothing too hard.
They look awesome. My friend and I had a blast making them! The original recipe calls for making a handle. Which I tried to make and failed. We did not make them thick enough for them to hold together. But I think they look great without the handle.
Butterbeer
I am a huge Harry Potter fan. So when my friend said she found a recipe for Butterbeer and Cauldron Cakes (coming in a few days) we HAD to try them.
They are super sweet and absolutely delicious. I love them! The original recipe was not alcoholic so if you don’t want alcohol or if your making it for kids, just cut it out. I do think the schnapps sets off the sweet nicely. And I just like butterscotch schnapps.
